Terms of Service & Expedition Contract
Last Revised: January 1, 2026 • Governed by the Laws of the Kingdom of Norway
1. Scope of Agreement and Acceptance
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Traveler", "Client", or "User") and Viblybuzzpockt Nordic Expeditions AS (Company No. NO 984 219 403 MVA). By utilizing the website viblybuzzpockt.homes, executing inquiries, or confirming bespoke expedition itineraries, you unconditionally accept these provisions.
2. Intellectual Property and Digital Assets
All proprietary software code, interactive Adventure Intensity calculators, original textual dossiers, curated route coordinates, and visual layouts published on this domain are the sole intellectual property of Viblybuzzpockt Nordic Expeditions AS or licensed under valid international creative partnerships.
3. Inherent Risks of Arctic Wilderness Travel
Travel in Arctic and sub-Arctic Norway—specifically across mountainous archipelagos (Lofoten, Senja), exposed fjords (Geirangerfjord), and high latitudes during polar winter (Tromsø)—involves unavoidable real-world hazards:
- Severe and erratic meteorological shifts, including blizzards, zero-visibility whiteouts, and gale-force coastal gusts.
- Avalanche hazards, rockfall events, and icy mountain ridge conditions along trails such as Reinebringen or Dalsnibba.
- Frigid sea temperatures capable of inducing hypothermia within minutes upon capsizing or ocean immersion.
- Variable wildlife interactions, including polar whale watching operations and remote backcountry fauna.
4. Mandatory Travel & Evacuation Insurance
Every participant in a Viblybuzzpockt guided expedition must carry an active comprehensive travel insurance policy that explicitly covers:
- Emergency helicopter extraction and Arctic search-and-rescue (SAR) operations.
- High-altitude or backcountry trekking above 1,000 meters.
- Unscheduled route cancellations or delays precipitated by severe Arctic maritime storms.
5. Booking Confirmations, Deposits, and Cancellations
Custom route plans are confirmed upon issuance of an official itinerary voucher and receipt of a non-refundable 25% logistical planning deposit. The remaining balance falls due sixty (60) days prior to the designated start date.
- Cancellations > 60 days prior: Full balance refunded less initial 25% deposit.
- Cancellations 30–59 days prior: 50% of total expedition cost refunded.
- Cancellations < 30 days prior: Non-refundable due to pre-committed rorbu leases, chartered vessels, and mountain guide retaining fees.
6. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This agreement shall be governed by, and construed in full accordance with, the laws of the Kingdom of Norway. Any disputes, controversies, or claims arising out of or in connection with this contract shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Oslo District Court (Oslo tingrett).
